Chickamauga, GA (WDEF) Gordon Lee high school may have to add a new wing this year, just for their state championship trophies. The Trojans baseball team will look to add to the trophy case this weekend, as they battle Charlton County for the state championship.

The Gordon Lee baseball team will try to claim the school's fourth state championship..this season. The wrestling team, softball team, and girls basketball team have already claimed state crowns. So what's going on in Chickamauga? Said baseball coach Mike Dunfee,"There's a lot of pride. A lot of pride, a lot of tradition, and a lot of spirit in this community." Said catcher Tanner Sexton,"Maybe four state championships this year. I don't know, I guess once one team wins it, we just think we could do that, and just try to go out and do it.

Reporter-"How many state title rings will you see in just your average day at school?" Said outfielder Adam Vandiver,"In your average class about four or five people in each class usually have a state championship ring." Reporter-"I mean some days, do you just kind of find yourself looking at those rings saying man, I want one." Said Vandiver,"I find myself drooling sometimes just looking at them." Added Sexton,"The wrestlers have these huge diamond rings. We'll try them on and stuff and go like, we want one of these. We want a big one if we win."

The Trojans baseball team has enjoyed plenty of success over the years, but it has been 29 years since they have won it all. Said Sexton,"One of our coaches was on that '84 team. It's the first thing he looks at when he comes to practice like up on that sign. We just want to do that. Like when we come back like in a few years from now. Just look up at that banner and say we were on that team."

The 2013 Trojans feature ten seniors. They have posted a 29-2 record, and they're a hitting machine having outscored their opponents 84-11 in the playoffs. Said Dunfee,"Coming into this season, we knew we were going to have to hit it to win it. We've just gotten hot. We've just gotten started in the playoffs. It has caught fire, and they've done well."
