For the first time in fifty years, East Ridge high school will have to find a new volleyball coach.
The legendary Catherine Neely has announced she's stepping down, although she will continue to serve as the Pioneers athletic director.

The school celebrated Neely's 50 years of service back in September.

Neely also coached girls basketball for 43 years at East Ridge, and when you combine her volleyball and basketball wins, they total over 2,000.

No wonder she's in countless Hall of Fames.

Neely told us over the phone that after hitting her 50 year milestone, it just seemed to be the right time to step down.
