Vols nation will be buzzing this morning with word of the Big Orange's attempt to lure a new head football coach.

WREG, our sister station in Memphis, reports UT offered the job to former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Coach Jon Gruden.  The report claims Jimmy Haslam the third, one of U-T's biggest booster, sweetened the contract with a partial ownership of the Cleveland Browns.  Click here to read the report.

Gruden started his coaching career at UT as a graduate assistant.  He currently works as an analyst for ESPN.

This morning at 7:15am, Gruden appeared on the Mike & Mike Show on ESPN Radio and said there isn't any truth to the report and if there was, he should "tell my wife about it cause it involves her and the kids."  Click here to listen to Gruden's short take on the story.
