Mocs Basketball Fans Pick Newly Renovated Seats at McKenzie Arena

Chattanooga-(WDEF) UTC men's basketball season ticket holders got to pick their seats for the upcoming season on Monday. And the seats are all brand new, including several that are now padded. Chattanooga just completed their summer project to improve the seating area in the lower bowl of McKenzie Arena.

Athletic director David Blackburn says the project cost nearly $2-million. "When you come in and see the arena, you'll see a sparkle to it that it has not had in a number of years, and most all of this is in the lower bowl. This was the first phase. It's something tangible our fans will actually enjoy as they sit in the seats, and it's needed. Hopefully our customers will appreciate that."
