Mocs head coach John Shulman confirmed on Wednesday that senior guard Dontay Hampton has torn his ACL for the second time this year. He'll undergo surgery on Thursday, thus ending his UTC career. Hampton injured his knee for the first time during the summer, and didn't join the team until January. He reinjured his knee before halftime last Thursday against Elon. Said Shulman,"He could have bagged it and not played this year, and gone and played professionally overseas with no problem. But that wasn't his goal and dream. His goal was to be the point guard at Chattanooga. And that's why it crushes you."
