the Mocs had a chance to take control of first place in the Southern Conference last Saturday. But they lost to second ranked Georgia Southern in triple overtime.

Despite the emotional loss, the season is not over. The Mocs have three games left, starting with Western Carolina this weekend. Chattanooga still has a shot at the playoffs, but they've got to move past the GSU loss. Said quarterback Jacob Huesman,"I see people on campus all the time. It's like, oh man, tough loss against Georgia Southern. Tough loss against whoever. So that kind of makes it difficult to forget a little bit." Said defensive lineman Derrick Lott,"We all know we prepared well. Everybody did there part. It was just you win some, you lose some." Added head coach Russ Huesman,"I think the days of getting hyped for one game because it's so-and-so or so-and-so are over. I mean, you can't do that. You've got to invest the same every week. I know that's hard sometimes. But great teams can do that."

The 4-4 Mocs hit the road on Saturday against 1-8 Western Carolina. Kickoff is at 3:30.
