Mocs Wrestling Hosts Stacked Southern Scuffle
The Mocs will once again host one of the premier wrestling tournaments in the country in the Southern Scuffle.
The two day event gets underway Tuesday at McKenzie Arena, and talk about a stacked field. Five teams ranked in the top ten will be here, including number one Penn State, number two Oklahoma State, and number three Minnesota. Mocs head coach Heath Eslinger says the winner of the individual matches will feel like an NCAA champ because of all the competition. Said Eslinger,"You start looking at the brackets, we've got seven NCAA champs. Ten NCAA finalists. Over 50 All-American honors that will be here. Eight-two guys ranked in the top twenty. I mean it's unreal. There are going to be two national champs that don't win the tournament because there are two national champs at both of those weights."
