NASCAR will unveil new race cars in 2013. And drivers are getting a feel for the new rides this week in testing at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The new cars are built to resemble the manufacturer's passenger models a little bit more. They  also feature a taller spoiler. NASCAR hopes the new vehicles will enhance the quality of competition. Had to be a tough day of testing for Matt Kenseth. Not only did he have to deal with a new car, but a new race team as well in Joe Gibbs Racing.

Said Kenseth, "I've got to be honest with you. That's probably the first time I've been nervous in a race car. Getting in there and going around the first time as long as I can remember. It was exciting. You're a little anxious when you go do something different." Said Dale Earnhardt Jr on the new cars,"The car has really awesome potential. I like it already leaps and bounds beyond the COT or the old car we ran."
