NW Whitfield Girls and Boys Fall in State Tourney

The NW Whitfield boys basketball team was searching for their first ever win in the state tournament on Wendesday night, as they hosted 6th ranked Grady. But the Bruins fell 62-46 to the Grey Knights. The Bruins went up 4-0 to start the game, and then the Grey Knights answered with an 18-0 run. Ivy Toomer led Grady with 16 points. The Bruins Tanner Quarles was high scorer in the game with 17 points. In girls action, Marist beat the Lady Bruins 59-34. Briana Bell led the Lady War Eagles with 20 points, while Kaitlin Wade led Northwest Whitfield with 12 points.
