the early signing period continues for high school athletes. On Thursday, Northwest Whitfield pitcher Emily Boyd signed with Ole Miss. Last season, Boyd sported a 28-2 record in leading the Lady Bruins to the Class 4A state title. She also had an ERA of 0.54. Boyd also recorded over 1,000 strikeouts during her high school career.
