NW Whitfield Splits Opening Round Doubleheader

Tunnel Hill-(WDEF) The Northwest Whitfield baseball team split their opening round doubleheader against Grady. The Grey Knights won game one 3-1, while the Bruins bounced back to take game two 11-8. The two teams are scheduled to play a decisive game three on Saturday, weather permitting. In the first game, Grady took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second on a sac fly. They tacked on another run in the top of the third on an RBI basehit from Luke Leonard. The Bruins only run of game one came in the bottom of the third on an RBI infield single from Edwin Hernandez.
