Notre Dame shut out Boyd Buchanan on Thursday night 26-0 on the high school gridiron. Austin Banks rushed for 296-yards in the Irish victory, scoring a couple of touchdowns in the second half. After no score in the first quarter, Notre Dame took a 6-0 lead on a quarterback run from Clay Heltzel. Then with four minutes to go in the half, Heltzel hit Kareem Orr on a short TD pass to make it 12-0. That was the score at the half before Banks found the endzone twice in the second half.
