Ooltewah head football coach Shannon Williams announced today that he is leaving the Owls. He emailed a press release stating his decision to take an assitant job at Walton High School in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

" I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Ooltewah High School and very much want to thank Mark Bean and Jim Jarvis for the opportunity they allowed me to have.  Ooltewah is truly a special place to be and this has been a very difficult decision to leave, but this is an opportunity that my wife and I feel that we cannot pass up.  Ooltewah is going to be fine.  The program is on solid footing and with the players we have returning along with the tremendous support from the administration, school, and community here, this should be a very attractive job for potential coaching candidates."
