Ooltewah Wins District Tourney Game Over Cleveland

Soddy Daisy-(WDEF) The Ooltewah baseball team won their District 5-AAA tournament opener against Cleveland 4-0 on Thursday night at Soddy Daisy high school. Owls pitcher Zach Thompson struck out three batters in the first inning, and Blue Raiders pitcher Jake Wyrick matched the feat with three strikeouts of his own in the bottom of the first. Cleveland's Michael Henderson made a great diving catch in center field to end the second inning. Owls finally scored in the bottom of the third on an RBI ground from Chase Morrison. Zach Thompson went the distance for the Owls, allowing just two hits.
