Vols fans thought it was odd when Nick Saban hired former UT head coach Lane Kiffin.
Now Vols legend Peyton Manning has visited Saban in Tuscaloosa the past couple days, along with the Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase.
Saban says the visit was beneficial for all parties.
Said Saban,"Peyton Manning has been a friend and very well respected for a long time ever since I coached in the league. We played him when he was with Indianapolis, and I was in Miami. His dad has been a really good friend of mine for a long, long, long time. To be honest with you. He was just trying to learn so he could be a better player." Saban added that he quizzed Manning a lot about running the no-huddle offense since the Broncos utilize the no-huddle attack. Saban asked Manning what defenses do that give them problems.
