Ridgeland Looks to Clear Second Round Hurdle

The Ridgeland Panthers host LaGrange on Friday in the second round of the Georgia state playoffs. Despite Ridgeland's success in recent years, they've never won a second round playoff game. And head coach Mark Mariakis says he's not afraid to address that with the team. "Every senior class will set some goals in the spring time. One of these guys goals was to get past the second round. I try to challenge every team that we have to do something that somebody has never done. Like this year, it's the first time in school history that we've won 10 ballgames. So now the next goal is to get past the second round."
