Ringgold Advances in State Softball With 5-0 Win

Ringgold advanced in the state softball playoffs on Thursday by beating Oconee 5-0 in game three of their series. The Lady Tigers got a run in the top of the first, and they hung onto that slim lead with several big defensive plays. Then Ringgold scored four runs in the 6th inning. Devan Brown flared one to shallow center that the center fielder couldn't hang on to. Two runs scored on the play. Then Erika Bynum stepped to the plate and blasted a two-run homer.
