Ringgold split their opening double header in the state softball playoffs. North Oconee won game one 3-2, but the Lady Tigers bounced back to win game two 5-0. With Ringgold up 3-0 in the bottom of the 6th, the Titans got two runners on base with nobody out. Brittany Portwood came in to pitch in relief, and she got two strikeouts and a ground out to end the scoring threat. Portwood also pitched a scoreless 7th inning. Lacey Loy gave the Lady Tigers some insurance in the top of the seventh with a 2 RBI single to right. Ringgold and North Oconee will play the decisive game three at 2pm on Thursday at Ringgold High School.
