Titans receiver Justin Hunter lost the name on the back of his jersey.
Stitched on the back of Hunter's is JAG, which is short for... just a guy.
Nothing special, just a guy.
But the Titans believe Hunter can be special, and they hope the 6'5 wide-out steps up his game during his second season in the NFL.
Reporter-"How did you get the nickname?"
I just messed up on a conversion, and Whiz (Whisenhunt) called me out, and they put that on the back of my jersey. So I've got to earn my name back."
Reporter-"Do you like that pressure?"
"Yeah, it's going to help me out with teammates hard on me too, so it's good for me."
Said receiver Nate Washington,"It's just a little motivation for him. I think everybody expects him to be in a certain place with his game level right now."
During practice on Tuesday, Hunter had his regular last name on the back of his jersey.
