Ooltewah, TN (WDEF) Ooltewah running back Desmond Pittman looks like a fullback, but his coach says he's a true tailback. Pittman is tearing up defenses to the tune of eight yards a carry.

Reporter-"What was your initial impression when you first saw him?" Said Ooltewah head coach Mac Bryan,"I said that's a good looking running back. There's no doubt that he is. He's a big back with tremendous feet and tremendous vision."

Reporter-"What is you height and weight right now?" Said Pittman,"I'm 6-foot, 230."

Reporter-"Describe to me the first time you recall that you tried to tackle Desmond Pittman. Do you remember that at all?" Said linebacker Jeremiah Jackson, "Headache. He came hard. I came hard. But he was big enough and ran me over." Said Bryan,"It's a power that he runs with that makes him hard to tackle, and it gets worse and worse for a defense as the game goes on because he continues to be the same guy." Added Pittman,"Yeah, they say I'm tough to tackle and that I'm too big to play running back." Said Jackson,"I've seen people dive at him. Sometimes they bounce off his legs. That's how big his legs are. They bounce off of him."

Reporter-"What kind of endurance does he have for his size?" Said Bryan,"Well against Siegel, he carried it thirty times. That's not too bad, and that's a pretty good football team too."

Reporter-"Have you taken steps to bring different aspects to your running game?" Said Pittman,"Yeah. One of them is getting in shape. That's one of them. The next was just watching other running backs, and seeing what they were doing, and just copy what they were doing."

Reporter-"Maybe describe to me one of the best runs he has had that you can recall in a game." Said Jackson,"I would say my freshman year. We're down at the 15 yard line. He cut the ball across the field at least three times and within that, ran over the whole team."

Reporter-"Do you chart missed tackles on him?" Said Bryan,"No. No. We just can't yards."

Reporter-"What would you describe as the proper technique to tackle Desmond Pittman. Give it to us." Said Jackson,"All eleven guys at the ball. That's probably the only way. All eleven guys at the ball."
