Farad Cobb had 12 points for the Mocs (11-16, 6-7 Southern Conference), who have won three of their past four after four-game losing streak. All three of Chattanooga's leading scorers were true freshmen.
Colin Reddick and Stephen Croone scored 12 points each, with Croone grabbing nine rebounds, and Bryant Irwin had 10 points for the Paladins (6-18, 3-10), who have lost four in a row, six of their past seven and are 1-11 on the road.
Chattanooga shot 34 of 77 from the field, while Furman was 19 of 51.
Chattanooga led 15-7 on Martynas Bareika's jumper with 13:03 left on the way to a 39-27 advantage at halftime.
The Mocs pushed their lead to 48-30 only 2:04 into the second half and pulled away for the easy victory.
The only blemish for the Mocs was a broken nose suffered by senior forward Drazen Zlovaric early in the game. Teammate Lance Stokes hit him with an elbow trying to get a rebound. Zlovaric returned wearing a mask. He finished the game with six points in ten minutes of action.
