While it might be too early to say if Houston is the best team in the AFC, they're certainly playing like it right now. Said Titans linebacker Will Witherspoon,"They have a good running game, which plays right into the pass. That's what you have to be conscious of. They do a good job of keeping you on your toes." Said Titans quarterback Jake Locker,"They play great team defense. They rally around the ball. They play hard. They play fast. They play physical."
In the first meeting between the Titans and Texans last year, Houston rolled Tennessee 41-7. Said Titans head coach Mike Munchak,"Obviously we saw offensively last year in our first game with them here, how many points they can put on the board if you make mistakes. So, we are very well award of the weapons they have."
The Titans were a big play machine last weekend against Detroit. And that worries Houston coach Gary Kubiak. "I think they are a very explosive team. Capable of making big plays, and they did that on defense last week also. Special teams they always give us problems."
Emotions sometimes explode when the Titans and Texans play, like the dust-up between Cortland Finnegan and Andre Johnson in 2010. Said Texans receiver Andre Johnson,"Every time we play them, they know us. We know them. It's just a game where you just get after each other."
For the Titans to pull off the upset, they'll need Chris Johnson to get on track. He only has 45-yards rushing in three games. Said Texans defensive end Antonio Smith,"You can make a couple of mistakes.Let him get a big, big run. Boosts his confidence up. And then you'll be looked at as the first team that reemerged Chris Johnson's running streak. I don't want that to be us. We're going to keep him quiet."
