Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Mike Munchak will remain the head coach of the Tennessee Titans for the 2013 season.

Titans owner Bud Adams confirmed it to the Tennessean on Monday, a day marked by rampant head coaching and front office firings across the NFL. Adams, though, has fired senior executive vice president Mike Reinfeldt, according to the paper.

Munchak had replaced Jeff Fisher, who parted ways with the franchise after 17 seasons, back in February of 2011. However, the 52-year-old former offensive lineman led Tennessee to a 6-10 record this season and has a 15-17 mark overall since taking the reins.

Tennessee had begun the year 1-4 and Munchak fired offensive coordinator Chris Palmer, replacing him with quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains for the duration.

The Titans finished the year 20th in offense with 330 points, but ranked dead last in the NFL by allowing 471 points.

General manager Ruston Webster will also be retained, with the Tennessean reporting that he is expected to have an increased role in personnel decisions with Reinfeldt no longer in the fold.
