My favorite freebie of the year arrives this Saturday, 9/29.  The annual Smithsonian Museum Day returns.

In the spirit of the Smithsonian Museums in Washington DC, which offer free admission everyday, Museum Day provides free admission to Smithsonian participating museums across the country to anyone presenting a Museum Day Ticket.

That means you can visit President Franklin Roosevelt's Georgia retreat, The Little White House in Warm Springs, the Space & Rocket Museum in Huntsville, or stay in town and go to the Houston Museum of Decorative Arts or the Western & Atlantic Railroad Tunnel and Museum in Tunnel Hill for FREE!

Remember, you must print out the tickets to get free admission.

Click here to find a list of participating museums near you.  Note: the Little White House free admission is technically part of Georgia's "Your State Parks Day" in which all Georgia state parks and historic sites are waiving admission fees Saturday.
