Batman celebrates his 75th anniversary this year.  To mark the occasion -- comic shops, bookstores and libraries will observe "Batman Day" today offering a full day devoted to all things Dark Knight!

Participating comic shops (B&M Amusement on Highway 58 in Chattanooga and Babbko in Dalton) and bookstores will give away free copies of DETECTIVE COMICS #27 SPECIAL EDITION, an updated take on the comic that first introduced Batman to the world.

The Barnes and Noble Hamilton place location will take part and also give away bags, bookmarks and buttons.  Batman himself will judge a costume contest at 6pm for those 12 and younger and those 13 and older.
