Chattanooga Police are investigating the death of a 22-year-old man Sunday night.

It's believed he fell from a walking path near the Hunter Museum around seven Saturday night.

Witnesses tell police the man climbed over the railing, then slipped, and fell onto the rocks below.

Investigators believe alcohol was a factor.

Melissa Robinson, a visitor, says, "It's sad. It seems really sad to me. It kind of hurts your heart to hear about things like that happening, it's just sounds like a bit of an unwise decision it sounds like to me."

Eric Robinson, another visitor, adds, "It's got to be a real tough situation for the family and friends who happened to be there. I really feel for them, it's got to be a tough circumstance."

The 22-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
