At 5:01 p.m. Wednesday evening, Chattanooga Police responded to a man trapped under a car parked in front of 1109 Sheridan Avenue.
Officers found 52 year-old Thilbert Petty under his 1992 Cadillac; he was pronounced dead on the scene. Investigators were told that Petty was working on his car when the incident occurred and it is unknown if the car fell on him or rolled over him.
The investigation is on-going.
