CHATTAOOGA (WDEF)--Sloths, snakes, and even Chinese Alligators are all a part of a new exhibit that just opened at the Chattanooga Zoo.
"Forests of the World" is the long anticipated exhibit to go along with the "Deserts of the World" display that opened last fall.
Both exhibits are the first to feature venomous snakes such as vipers and rattlesnakes.
The exhibit adds over 30 new species to the zoo's collection.
"A great collection, a chance to see things, and hopefully things you don't encounter often in the wild. If you are traversing around in Indonesia or out in the jungles in Africa or South America, there are a lot of our species that you really don't want to see, so we are excited to have them all here where you can see them but from a distance and safely," says Chattanooga Zoo CEO Darde Long.
