Chattanooga crews are searching for two missing Children

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) - Authorities are actively searching for two missing kids who were reportedly swept down stream along the Chickamauga Creek.    

According to police, four boys went down to the Chickamauga Creek but two of them jumped into the water for a swim.
Kentory Ray, 11 and Thomas Ruffin, 11 were pulled downstream by water currents until they were out of sight. The other two boys that remained on land called 911.    

"We have 60 officers out here. We have Chattanooga fire Dept., Hamilton County EMS, Hamilton County S.T.A.R.S, search and rescue and housing authority out here.  We're currently checking the river banks and hopefully we'll locate the kids alive and well. At this point we have made contact with the family members and we do have them on scene talking with them. The Children have not been located at this time." said Chattanooga Police chief Bobby Dodd.
