Chattanooga man accused of brutal rape

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) - A man claiming to be a U.S. Marine is accused of brutally raping a woman.

Robert Bradshaw, 27, of Chattanooga has been charged with kidnapping, rape and aggravated assault.

It happened Saturday night.

According to the arrest report, Bradshaw drove his alleged victim to his house where he told her he was a United States Marine who would kill her if she didn't do what he said.

The report says Bradshaw sexually assaulted the woman and forced her to  perform sexual act while she screamed for help.

Once free, The woman reportedly went to a downtown restaurant where she was able to call police for help.

At some point before police arrived to take her statement, Bradshaw reportedly walked into the restaurant, assaulted and threatened to kill her if she reported the rape.

An hour later, Bradshaw was identified through a photo lineup.

He was taken into custody on Tuesday.

Bradshaw remains in jail on a $205,000 bond.
