During President Barack Obama's speech, he says, "Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law, for if we are truly created equal, then surely the love we commit to one another must be equal, as well."

It's a statement that millions of people are now talking about, and Calvary Baptist Church in Trenton is no different.

Hours after that speech, Pastor Billy Wallace put up a sign that read, "Inauguration Homosexual Victory Day."

It doesn't exactly leave their views up to the imagination.

Corey Hardin, a resident, says, "I really think it's inappropriate for a church to get involved in something political that's going on."

We posed that same question to another baptist church about two miles down the road.

Pastor Eddie Cantrell, with First Baptist Church, adds, "No, I would not. I think that there are all kinds of sin that we commit everyday and the Bible says a lot about pride, and greed, and jealousy, and hate. So, if you start listing sins, you're going to have a pretty big sign."

Now, this isn't the first time Pastor Wallace put up a controversial sign.

After this recent election, he put one up that read in part, "Gays Win."

He tells us his church received threats after that, so he will not go on camera, but he did issue this statement.

It reads, "I prefer not to do an on camera interview. In November I did a sign and the church received threats and I was called everything you can think of by those not tolerant of my stand. This is a statement concerning the sign.

The purpose of the sign is to draw attention to the danger America is facing. Two things God will not tolerate is the shedding of innocent blood of children and supporting the homosexual lifestyle. Both are an abomination which God guarantees he will judge."

It is sad that the inbreed church actually believes & spews hate - I thought politics & religion were supposed to be separated ????
