Morning Anchor Dreanne Newton joined the WDEF News 12 morning show in June 2011.

Dreanne is originally from Lincoln County, Tennessee, and has lived in the Scenic City for almost 6 years. As a student at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Dreanne received a bachelor's degree in Communications, with a minor in public speaking. Through UTC's internship program, Dreanne received hands on training and experience at WDEF News 12 in the summer of 2009.

Dreanne was hired on at News 12 in April of 2010. She started out as a web content producer/reporter. Now in her new position as anchor and reporter, she looks forward to being part of a fresh and fun morning show.

In her free time Dreanne enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hanging out on the lake, listening to classic country music and working out.
