East Ridge Woman Bit in the Face by Pit Bull

(WDEF) East Ridge Police responded to a home on Lazard Street Thursday morning.
     A woman was bit by a pit bull.
     She was bit in the mouth after she put the dog back in its fenced in area to keep her kids safe.
     She tells News12 a Tenn Am meter-reader called police to report the pit bull was on the loose.
     She was taken to Erlanger by ambulance.
     The dog was taken by East Ridge Animal Control.
     It was up to date on all of its vaccinations.
