Speaking of green and red.

The Salvation Army and Wal-Mart partnered up Saturday to help thousands of children have a Merry Christmas.

They put out a truck, and look how many people helped fill it.

It's all a part of the 122nd Annual Red Kettle Campaign.

Every Wal-Mart store in the Tennessee Valley participated, as well as 2,500 other stores across the country.

And guess what, all your donations to the red kettle will stay right here in the Tennessee Valley.

Volunteers encourage everyone to give what they can this holiday season.

Joyce Pyburn, a Salvation Army Volunteer, says, "Search your heart and think if it was you in that position. If you were that child and you didn't have anything. Think what it would feel like."

Last year in the Greater Chattanooga area, Wal-Mart and Sams Club stores helped the salvation army provide items for more than 16,000 people.
