Liz Haley is now on the look out for an attempted robber in Fort Oglethorpe.

Haley adds, "As a matter of fact, since seeing his picture, I'll be carrying my 38 around with me."

Fort Oglethorpe Police say the suspect followed a 23-year-old woman inside a Subway Restaurant on LaFayette Road March 5th.

Steve Blevins with the Fort Oglethorpe Police, says, "He is seen there looking at the menu, and then turns around and goes back outside."

As the woman was getting back in her car, the man stuck his elbow inside and tried to pry the door open; all the while demanding her purse.

But the woman did not hand over the money, instead, she slammed his arm inside the door and drove off.

Haley adds, "I don't know how I'd react, I'd might pass out. This is a very scary situation to be in."

Blevins says the man was driving a teal green car, and took off toward Rossville.

He hopes that information, along with the fact that the man may now have injuries to his arm, is enough to tip you off.

Blevins adds, "This individual should be considered a felon, a danger to anyone he approaches simply because you don't know what he's going to do."

Blevins says, luckily, the man was not armed, but it is likely he will be in the future if he decides to prey on yet another young woman.

"He had this experience with an individual, and now maybe it escalates to overcome resistance, adds, "Blevins.

And that just does not sit right with Haley.

Haley adds, "I think women should be aware and watch their surroundings because women like myself, you trust people, and I thank you for showing us the picture because I know who to look for."

If you recognize the man in the composite sketch, call the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department.

If caught, the man could face a felony strong arm robbery charge.
