The Hamilton County School Board met this evening for their regular discussion.
One of the topics on the agenda dealt with field trips for schools in the future.
Superintendent Rick Smith came up with a solution and presented it to the members. Field trips from now on will be administratively reviewed. All field trips will be looked at for content and academic purpose. Any field trip that would require an over night visit will be reviewed by the board. Smith said, "We have decided to look at those field trips very carefully which we always have, but again looking at those particular trips that are less academic and make the decision here at central office."
The principal, school director and the board will all look at proposed trips.
