Some local students lent a helping hand to help keep Chattanooga beautiful. About two dozen kids from Howard School pitched in to clean up John C. Wilson Park this morning.
It's a continuing effort as part of the "Environmental Connections" program.
The students worked with volunteers from the Lookout Mountain Conservancy.
They're cleaning up kudzu and trash covering a ravine that drains into Chattanooga Creek.
"These students are out here, not only are they getting education in regards to the environment, but they are also getting the opportunity to exercise team building skills and leadership skills," says Robyn Carlton, CEO of Lookout Mountain Conservancy Group.
The students also have work days next month as part of the on going program.
