Lakeview Middle School employee suspended

OMG! This is a prime example of our media out of control and trying to sensationalize a report just to make ratings and destroy an INNOCENT mans reputation in the public eye! My daughter is a student of this teacher (I won't mention his name out of my respect for him), and most of the kids say he is the BEST teacher they have ever had! This report shows stretching the truth (the actual quote from Catoosa Cty Schools is that it was ALLEDGELY ONE INCIDENT FROM ONE STUDENT)yet WDEF's report says it was "messages" (meaning more than one) from "students" (there again, more than one). This is probably the reason he resigned; To protect his family and himself from this exagerating and false reporting. He hasn't even had any legal charges made against him, and yet uninformed viewers, like the ladies interviewed in the report, are ready to have him declared guilty and thrown under the jail. Who is to say that the girl isn't making this up just because she got mad at him? He is strict on his students when he needs to be. Where's the part in the report that states the fact that his phone had disappeared for setveral days? And what if she misunderstood the message even if it did come from him? The actual report from the County Office states that it contained "a sexual ineuendo" yet the report makes it out to be an explicit message. She could have sent it to herself, if she found the phone, or someone else could have found his phone and sent it as a joke or revenge against him for something. The backbone of journalism is supposed to be "fair and balanced", not some witch hunt for a sensationalized report that result in an award winning ("2010 award winner for young band directors by the American School Band Director's Assoc. Outstanding Potential Award"), beloved, dedicated (he drives 1hr each way to work at LMS), hard-working (255 students per year, for 6 years), band teacher and his family being drug through the mud and locked up under the jail. SHAME ON YOU!

Easy to find his name online, but i refuse to post it here because the article and video posted shows Only people who condemn the guy without having any facts. I read the same article, nowhere on it does it say he is Guilty but people are soooo quick to judge and the media doesnt help it any. What was in the so called text msg may be nothing and may be something bad,could have been sent to the wrong person? So unless he is proven guilty we should all treat him no different then you would have last week. Quitting as he did many people would do just to try and keep their name from being tarnished anymore then it has to be guilty or not as it stands he is basically labeled as an offender.
