On Saturday, Nov. 10, students from Lee University’s Mission of the Church, a Religion course taught by Professor Jerome Boone, participated in a class service project to benefit The Caring Place (TCP) located in Cleveland, Tenn. The students saw a need to build up the food resources at TCP as the holiday season approaches. They distributed flyers announcing their food collection event and the following Saturday returned to targeted neighborhoods to collect the donations. The Caring Place will use the donations collected by these students to help alleviate hunger in the community this holiday season.
