CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee -(WDEF) The motorcyclist killed late Saturday afternoon on I-75 has been Identified as Edward Bankston, 58, of Knoxville.
Bankston was riding his motorcycle on southbound I-75 when he was struck from behind by a car in the far left lane. Police on scene said the car ran over the motorcyclist before coming to a stop about a half mile north of the Volkswagen Dr. exit.
Bankston was pronounced dead on the scene.
According to sources close to the family, he was an architect who owned Bankston Architectural Group in Knoxville.
