Dozens of families were reunited with their loved ones, who had been deployed overseas with the National guard.
It was a joyous reunion held at the National Guard Armory in Chattanooga.
Nearly 200 guardsmen returned home after a one year deployment in the Middle East as a part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
There were plenty of hugs and tears as the families re-united.
With the return, also comes the opportunity for these soldiers and their loved ones to return to a normal life.
The group was part of the 1-181st field artillery unit.
