Moments before landing, the presidentwas already greeted with signs and protests.
"Our reception is one of Please hear our message.  It is not trying to be negative in any way.    We're saying here's some messages you're not hearing from your people," said Melinda Crawley.
While there were a handful of Obama supporters just outside the airport, hundreds lined up to rally against the president's policies.
"The fact that we had a few hundred people if not a thousand or more here in the middle of the work week really shows that," said Matt Collins of Campaign for Freedom.
Just as Obama was speaking at Amazon; Tea Party members, Campaign for Freedom, and others held a rally.
"This rally was not for the president he's not changing his mind if we had 10,000 people here with signs and so this was really more for the community for the people to express their concerns their grievances and to share that with their fellow citizens," said Chattanooga Tea Party President Mark West.
No matter which side they were for, everyone was thankful they got the chance to let their voices be heard.
"We were pin pointed for one moment here in our nations history for our president to show up in town. So we're glad we're glad we were here at this point in time.  But we're more importantly concerned about the future of our nation and trying to rally our fellow citizens to understand what's at steak," West said.

If you don't know the difference in a steak and a stake you might want to reconsider your chosen career. A STEAK is a choice piece of cow meat and a stake....a monetary or commercial interest, investment, share, or involvement in something, as in hope of gain: I have a big stake in the success of the firm. Say steakholder and a person with a juicy ribeye should come to mind. I may be a spelling Nazi, but I am right. Only use words that you understand. I know you didn't think that STEAK made sense in that sentence. Also, I was out today and did see many more supporters than protesters. Again, like the intentional minimizing of the hundreds protesting Monsanto a few weeks ago the numbers are distorted to further an agenda rather than report fact! Sad this state of affairs. Journalism and spelling RIP.
