When news broke that Christian Sosa, 19, was murdered, his cousin , Joey Rodriguez, jumped in his car and drove overnight from New Jesery to Hamilton County.
Rodriguez says, "He honestly felt like a younger brother."
He says he had hundreds of miles to think about hundreds of memories.
Rodriguez adds, "His laughter, his smile, and his love is incredible."
Sosa was shot to death Wednesday night on his mother's birthday.
According to Rodriguez, "Sosa wrote her a card saying that he loved his mom."
Family members say it was like his goodbye.
Nathalie Duran, Sosa's cousin, adds, "It's not fair what happened. I'm still in shock."
Most family members say they have not slept since deputies told them Sosa was shot in a park off Bill Jones Road.
He was with his girlfriend, Meghan Bennett, at the time, in a car.
Sosa's family just got back from seeing Bennett , and say at least one bullet went through her shoulder, and into her lung.
Rodriguez says, "Who could take a life, and be all right with that?
Deputies believe Nathan Lalone, 20, Blakelen Adams, 19, and Tyler Conrad, 19, are responsible for the murder.
We are told the three were friends with the couple.
Duran says, "The people he hung out with we didn't trust."
A motive has not been figured out yet, but some of Sosa's family members believe the three men called the couple over to the park.
But why is the big question that they hope will be answered overtime.
Meanwhile, Rodriguez wants the suspects to hear this message, "I forgive you, please ask for forgiveness, please."
Lalone has been charged with first degree murder.
Adams and Conrad have been charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit first degree murder.
