It is Election Day in America.
And people are packing the polls.
So far, the majority of voters are casting their ballots trouble-free.
But there have been a few problems at at least two polling places.
We got word of some issues at the Bethlehem Center.
The polling place got overwhelmed by a huge crowd.
The JoAnne Favors campaign says some voters were turned away.
Election commission workers say that they have not kept anyone from voting.
Tennessee's new voter ID law is also causing some confusion.
JoAnne Favors,TN State Senate Candidate, 28th District, "I think the situation is there's too many new people and having had so many changes from the election commission. I think all of that, that combination wasn't a good mix for today."
Terry McCullough, President, Southside?Oak Hills Neighborhood Association, "I went inside there, we had a large turnout here at the Bethlehem Center, besides the impact that the new changes have been made, but we are focusing on the outcome of the large turnout today here at the Bethelem Center."
Favors says there were also issues at the Brainerd Rec center this morning.
She tells us some voters received the wrong ballot.
She has asked the election commission to send poll inspectors to the sites.
