COLLEGEDALE, TN (WDEF) --The campus of Southern Adventist University re-opened about 2:30 p.m. after a perceived threat was resolved.

The two hour lockdown came after an off-campus threat around 1pm.

A "person of interest", Southern Adventist student, James Gaines made the threats on Chattanooga State campus earlier today.

He was angry that paperwork between Chatt State and Southern Adventist University had not gone through.
Gaines mentioned using firearms and explosives on Southern campus to Chatt State employees who in turn called 911.

There was no danger to anyone on campus, according to authorities, however students were handcuffed in a number of residency dorms.

An initial report of "shots fired" is described as a misunderstanding.
A fire arm has not been located and Gaines seemingly never made it to Southern Adventist campus from Chattanooga State College.

Police say they are working with Hamilton County Sheriff's office and Gaines is being detained in Collegedale.
