SODDY DAISY, Tennessee - Hamilton County authorities are investigating a suspicious fire that destroyed a home in Soddy Daisy.
It happened Saturday morning on the 1100 block of Thatcher Rd.
Firefighters when they arrived on scene, flames and smoke was shooting through the roof. By the time the fire was under control, the roof and most of the second floor had collapsed.
The home owner says it was a rental property. He also said he recently evicted a woman from the home.
Investigators are now trying to determine if the fire was an accident or intentional.
