(WDEF)  Officials confirm the man who instigated a four-hour SWAT standoff on Casaloma Trail in Ringgold died.
The SWAT situation ended shortly after 10:00pm Wednesday night.
It began when 63-year-old Alonza Shackleford Hood, Sr. was afraid his dogs would be taken from him, so he fired his gun and exchanged gunfire with officials.
The SWAT team was called to his home on Casaloma Trail around 6pm.
Hood was wanted for Aggravated Sexual Battery and three counts of Child Molestation.
SWAT teams used tear gas in an attempt to get Hood out of his home.
