After losing his home and wife in the past three months, James Dills is now facing medical bills he cannot pay to keep his son alive.

His son Anthony is waiting to hear back if surgery can be done in Atlanta to replace his kidneys, liver and bowel.

"it's scary thinking you know you could die in the next minute but actually I believe that he's got faith that i'm going to live."

If the surgeries can't be done in Georgia they will have to make the journey back to Omaha, Nebraska where Anthony was operated on previously.

Family friend Bobbie has volunteered her time to help James take care of Anthony and his disabled sister.

"But harder than that is watching them struggle through this"

James feels alone in this fight, but a website has been set up to help the family pay with their mounting medical debts.
James is still responsible for 20 percent of the medical bills.. Which go into the  thousands of dollars.

Just a curious question. Why do Americans always pronounce Irish surnames wrong? I notice that they don't do it with any other nationality, and Irish surnames are generally quite simple to pronounce. It's quite peculiar and disrespectful.
