Chattanooga-(WDEF) If Larry Ward is the voice of the Lookouts, then Wanda Goins is the voice of AT&T Field.
She's the Lookouts famous program lady.
Her voice carries through the ballpark, ready to sell you a program for just 25-cents.
When you get close to AT&T Field for a Lookouts game, you will hear Wanda Goins.
Goins at the program stand,"One quarter for your program. 25-cents. Thank you baby."
Said Goins,"And they(fans) say they enjoy hearing me say it. We hear you way down on the corner down there." (laughter)
Wanda got her start at Engel Stadium working a Jimmy Buffett concert some 30-years ago.
Then she was invited to work for the Lookouts.
"I took tickets for about two weeks, and then I started selling programs." (laughs)
And what about that catch phrase?
Goins at program stand,-"One quarter for your program. 25-cents. 25-cents. Just 25-cents."
Said Goins,"I guess I just said 25-cents. Just made it up." (laughs)
The Lookouts program lady has become a mini-celebrity.
"They see me. I don't have to say nothing. You're the Lookouts lady. Yeah. You're selling programs. I said yeah. We just love you. Everybody asks me, do you sing in the choir? I say uh-uh." (laughs)
And who says 25-cents doesn't buy a lot these days.
Said Goins, I just love my co-workers and fans."
