Nearly 53 years to the day she disappeared, UT forensic experts have identified remains found in Parksville Lake as those of Kathleen Wrinkle.
She was last seen February 22, 1956 when she left her Bradley County home for a job interview in Copperhill.
After years of speculation that her car may have slid on ice into the Polk County Lake, Bradley County Sergeant Bill Coultry took on the cold case in July 2007.
Last May, a car matching the description of Kathleen's vehicle was pulled from the lake.
Divers recovered a femur bone which has finally led to an identification.
The medical examiner has ruled the death an accidental drowning.
